Your relationship is unique and you want a therapist who understands and knows how to support relationships outside of the norm. You may have tried working with other couples therapists who just didn’t get it. Or, the people you know who have gone to therapy are all part of the same blueprint and so you worry that relationship therapy just isn’t for you. But This Space was made for you. We welcome the weird, the nontraditional, the outsider, the fringe and the outliers. We welcome you, we want to support you, and we want to help you build the relationship of your dreams.

Non-monogamy & polyamory

Are you wanting to open your relationship? You might feel scared, alone, and maybe under supported. You might also be afraid of what your partner, friends, and family might think. But you are desperate to live a life where you are honest about what you really want.

Or are you non-monogamous and you’ve hit a roadblock in your relationship(s)? You need some extra support right now because you and your relationship(s) are facing big challenges. You may find yourself feeling overwhelmed and lost.

Everywhere you turn for help, you and your relationship(s) are mischaracterized, misunderstood, or not respected.

No matter if you’re a couple looking for help opening up or a well-established polycule looking for extra support, we are ready to dive in and give you and your relationship the support you deserve. We have extensive education and training in supporting non-traditional relationship structures and we are also polyamorous ourselves!

Have you felt hopeless in your search for a safe therapy space in a world that is actively trying to disappear you? You feel isolated, afraid, and tired, and you just want someone who gets you and your relationship. Maybe you’ve read books, gone to therapy, and talked to friends, but the advice constantly missed the mark because they just didn’t understand the challenges queer relationships face in today’s world.

As queer and trans therapists, we strive for something beyond safety - we want to provide therapy that helps you feel seen in the expansiveness of your identity and relationship.

You are not only safe here, you are celebrated here! We want to support you in finding your stability and home base within your relationship so you can keep on queering love, family, and joy.

step parents and their partners

Did you envision a big, beautiful blended family, but now that you’re in it you find that the struggles seem to outweigh the joys? Do you find yourself thinking, this is not what I thought it was going to be? All of the fights you have with your partner are about the kids, the ex, and parenting. You feel alone. Your partner can’t relate. None of your friends or family get how hard this is.

Stepfamilies offer a unique set of challenges, opportunities, and types of connection that need their own specialized support.

We can help you and your partner create a family life and partnership that supports all members of your blended family, including you! We know how hard this is and how to navigate through it, because we’ve been there. In addition to our training and education in supporting stepcouples, we are also parents in a step-family.

Are you and/or your partner neurodivergent? Do you sometimes feel frustrated, angry, and helpless by the differences between you? Do you wish your brains were the same? Maybe you have noticed over time connection lessen, sex become more infrequent, and decision making together near impossible. You might feel stuck in volatile and painful conflict.

You just want your partner to UNDERSTAND you!

We get it! As affirming, neurospicy therapists ourselves, we have the tools and knowledge to support the needs of your relationship. We are able to offer a pathway for your connection to begin to thrive again and a foundation to foster deeper understanding of yourself and your partner(s).
